How do I make Hao Directory my homepage?

How do I add my own websites?

On the home page, click Edit favorites (the pencil) on the Home block. Use the + tile to add a website, the red × to remove one, and drag tiles to reorder them. Click Save changes when you're done.

Where are my favorites stored?

Only in your browser on this device. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, you'll see the default tiles again.

How do I change the search engine?

Use the dropdown next to the search box, or set a default in Settings.

How do I change the background?

Click Change Background at the top of the page to cycle through the available looks.

How are websites picked?

We list sites that are popular with and useful to people in the United States, based on public traffic rankings, how well-known a brand is, and whether the site actually serves U.S. visitors. We don't accept payment for placement.

A link is broken or a site is missing.

Websites change all the time. We review the listings regularly; broken links are removed or updated in the next refresh.
